The Controller may process the following categories of personal data:

a) Browsing data

The IT systems and software procedures used to operate the Website may, during their normal operation, collect certain data whose transmission is implicit in the use of Internet communication protocols.

This category includes, by way of example, IP addresses, technical device identifiers, access times, and other technical data necessary for the operation and security of the Website.

b) Data voluntarily provided by the user

The voluntary submission of data through the newsletter subscription form entails the processing of the data entered by the user, including, in particular:

  • e-mail address

  • first name and surname, where requested or voluntarily provided

Personal data are processed for the following purposes:

a) Operation and security of the Website

Browsing data are processed for the purpose of ensuring the proper technical functioning of the Website, operational management, security monitoring, and the prevention of misuse or unauthorised access.

Legal basis: the Controller’s legitimate interest in the proper functioning and security of the Website.

b) Newsletter subscription and delivery

Data voluntarily provided by the user are processed in order to enable subscription to, and delivery of, the Publisher’s newsletter, containing updates on new publications, events, cultural initiatives, and similar communications relating to the Controller’s editorial activities.

Legal basis: the data subject’s consent.

The user may withdraw the consent given at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out prior to such withdrawal.

c) Statistical analysis and measurement of Website traffic

Subject to the user’s consent, the Controller may use cookies or other analytical tools to collect statistical information regarding the use of the Website, including, by way of example, the number of visitors, pages viewed, the manner in which users interact with content, and aggregated or pseudonymised browsing data, for the purpose of improving the performance, content, and functionality of the Website.

Legal basis: the data subject’s consent.

The user may, at any time, withdraw or amend the consent given through the preference management tools made available on the Website, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out prior to such withdrawal.

4. Nature of the provision of data

The provision of browsing data is necessary in order to enable the technical operation of the Website.

The provision of data for newsletter subscription is optional; however, failure to provide an e-mail address will make it impossible to subscribe to and receive the newsletter.

Personal data are processed by electronic and telematic means, using methods strictly related to the purposes set out above and in compliance with the principles of lawfulness, fairness, transparency, data minimisation, integrity, and confidentiality.

The Controller adopts appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

6. Data retention period

Browsing data are retained for the time strictly necessary for the operation of the Website, its technical management, and security, without prejudice to any further retention that may be necessary for the establishment of liability in the event of unlawful acts or requests from the competent authorities.

Data processed for the purpose of sending the newsletter are retained until consent is withdrawn or the data subject unsubscribes from the service, without prejudice to any need to retain such data in order to comply with legal obligations or for the establishment, exercise, or defence of a right.

7. Recipients of the data

Personal data may be processed by persons authorised by the Controller and by third parties acting on behalf of the Controller, where appointed as data processors, for purposes strictly connected with the management and operation of the Website.

In particular, personal data may be processed by technical and digital service providers connected with the management of the Website and electronic communications, including, where applicable, Wix.com Ltd. and/or other companies within the Wix group for website creation, hosting, and technical management services, as well as Hostinger International Ltd. and/or other companies within the Hostinger group for e-mail services connected with newsletter management.

8. Transfer of data to third countries

The use of platforms and technical services connected with the management of the Website and electronic communications may involve the transfer of personal data to countries outside the European Economic Area.

In such cases, processing shall take place in compliance with the applicable data protection legislation and, where required, on the basis of an adequacy decision adopted by the European Commission pursuant to Article 45 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679, or through the adoption of appropriate safeguards pursuant to Article 46 of the same Regulation, such as, by way of example, the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.

9. Newsletter and unsubscribe options

Subscription to the newsletter takes place exclusively at the user’s request.

The user may stop receiving the newsletter at any time by:

  • clicking the relevant unsubscribe link included at the bottom of each communication, where available;

  • contacting the Controller using the contact details provided in this notice.

Following withdrawal of consent or an unsubscribe request, the Controller will cease sending the newsletter as soon as reasonably possible.

10. Cookies and other tracking tools

The Website uses cookies and other technical tools strictly necessary for its operation, security, and the proper delivery of the services requested by the user.

As the Website is built using the Wix Studio platform, it may also use, subject to the user’s consent where required by applicable law, analytics cookies or other non-essential tools aimed at collecting statistical information on the use of the Website and on users’ interaction with its content.

Non-essential cookies and tools are activated only following the user’s express choice through a dedicated banner or other suitable preference management tool. The user may review or amend such choices at any time through the tools made available on the Website.

The Controller does not carry out profiling activities, nor does it adopt automated decision-making processes that produce legal effects concerning the data subject or similarly significantly affect the data subject.

Data subjects may exercise, in the cases provided for by the Regulation, the following rights:

  • access to personal data;

  • rectification of inaccurate data;

  • erasure of data;

  • restriction of processing;

  • objection to processing;

  • data portability, where applicable;

  • withdrawal of consent at any time, with regard to processing based on consent.

Data subjects also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the Member State of their habitual residence, place of work, or the place where the alleged infringement occurred.

In Italy, the competent supervisory authority is the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali).

13. Amendments to this notice

The Controller reserves the right to amend or update this notice, including as a result of changes in applicable law or variations in the processing activities carried out through the Website.
